About us
Alam began with a nagging thought:
"This can't be the only way to be".That thought became a certainty when our little family navigated critical illness right after our firstborn arrived. Stepping out of the grind of everyday Singaporean life at that time made one thing clear for us - a cure can come from a prescription, but to be well requires breathing room.Alam is a Malay and Arabic word — world, realm, the environment that shapes our way of being. It felt like the right name.In its present form, Alam is a space to gather, make, tinker and play — or simply be — regardless of age. We curate the space and materials.The door is open.
We grew Alam from a feeling, but every space comes from somewhere. These are the realms, both real and imagined, that gave it structure:

We are closed on Mondays
Bookings must be made at least 3 hours in advance.
Cancellations are non-refundable but transferable within 3 months.
Sessions hold up to 20 guests, all ages welcome.
Session is self-directed, with Alam host present.

We're unable to accommodate more than 2 children under 6 per adult — this ratio helps us keep the studio safe for everyone.As long as there is a 1:1 pair for Ages 6 and Under, the rate is $36 (weekdays), $40 (weekends) for the pair.For purchases of gift cards, $40 includes a seasonal Alam postcard for the recipient of the gift.
Important: Our booking form can only calculate a single guest type per booking, so if your group is a mix (e.g. adults and children), please refer to the chart above to work out your total and make payment using PayNow. If you need any help or clarification, DM us on IG @our.alam.

| Anyone hosting gatherings (birthdays, team bonding) to events (product launches, workshops). Our space adapts to what you need. Flexible furniture arrangements accommodate up to 20 pax seated (floor and table seating). We are registered with Vendors@Gov. | $100/hour. Minimum 2 hour bookings. Includes access to projector, portable speaker and microphone. For access to all materials, an additional $32/pax (first two hours) and $10/pax (subsequent hours) applies, with a minimum of 10 pax and an Alam team member present.
